In Iowa, United States. One region for now, and we say so instead of drawing a map full of flags.

Is there a setup fee or a contract?

No setup fee, and you can cancel any time. Prices are in Canadian dollars; paying from the US, your card or payment account converts the charge to US dollars. On the billing site you see the monthly price of the plan you picked before any payment is taken.

How many players can a Factorio server hold?

Factorio Standard plans are open for orders with 8, 12, 16 or 24 player slots, at CA$11.99–CA$23.49 a month. If you need a different size, email support@fwg.world (no account needed; account holders can also open a ticket) and we confirm what is possible by email.

Can I load my own mod list on a Factorio server?

What port does the Factorio server use?

34197, UDP only. Factorio builds its own reliable delivery layer on top of UDP, so there is no TCP port to open.

Why might the Factorio headless server not start?

Most often because it has no save. A dedicated server requires a save file to be handed to it, created first with --create, then started with --start-server pointed at that file.

Does the Factorio server keep running when nobody is playing?

Not by default. In headless mode the game pauses while no players are connected; the no-auto-pause option in server-settings.json switches that off.
